I've been working this one up, here is what I have. To get the melody, search the title in youtube and there are a few neat versions to learn from. Oh yes, for you hardcore bluegrass guys, this one has 4 chords so you can just pass on it!<g>
edit: I can't get the chords to line up correctly, so if you want a .doc of this, PM me.
    Dave.

WILL THERE BE ANY STARS IN MY CROWN

I am thinking today of that beautiful land
I shall reach when the sun goeth down
When through wonderful grace, by my Savior I stand
Will there be any stars in my crown?

    REFRAIN:
Will there be any stars, any stars in my crown
When at evening the sun goeth down?
When I wake with the blest, In those mansions of rest
Will there be any stars in my crown?

In the strength of the Lord, let me labor and pray,
Let me watch as a winner of souls
That bright stars may be mine in the glorious day,
When His praise like the sea billows roll.

Oh what joy will it be, when His face I behold,
    Living gems at His feet to lay down;
It would sweeten my bliss in the city of gold,
Should there be any stars in my crown.

My group plays it somewhere between these two arrangements, but going to the "A" chord on "rest" in the chorus (this is the note that gets held after slowing down in that phrase). We also capo up 2 frets and play in the key of A.

The friend who showed me this song played the A-K with the Cox family version, and they don't slow down at the third line. I really like it without the slow-down.

If you are trying to do the Cox arrangement, I think the A chords in the verses are minor. #
Great song by the way, I'm glad so many others here enjoy it too!

Should be a hit at the nursing homes; I've done it in church a time or three.
