Saw an excellent series of videos from Tim May on YouTube, and some discussion of vintage Gibson and a very nice performance. Thought I'd pass these along for the interested.

I'd be remiss in not mentioning David Harvey. He's certainly the right guy to talk Gibson with.

Thanks for the tip, Steve. Those clips have very informative mando content and Tim and Dave are fine musicians.

2 thumbs way up on that! Kinda funny how the discussion of the fate of the Monroe Loar and how Gibson doesn't care about that stuff, and now this. Makes you go hmmmmmm?

Thanks for that. Tim was in Crucial Country, a very rocking outfit several years ago.

    Thanks for the tip!

Great stuff I'm going to track down that CD or DVD (Vintage Gibson).

And not to detour the string I'll add this note --- Tim May has a new band called Plaidgrass (Celtic-Bluegrass) I guess. #

There is no mandolin in this video but here is Plaidgrass (they do have an 8-string banjo though!) doing a medely
