This is the second combination of #German/bigleaf maple. Makes for a very rich, dark tone. Here's the front...

Very classy combonations of color/binding. Good work, as usual.

Don's too hard to remember. We'll call you Bruce!

I think this was the first Brentrup combination of German/Bigleaf maple. #It's a beauty both tonally and visually (and is for sale BTW).

    Hans' work is first class...

Boy I really love that mandolin's looks and wish I could hear it played. I find myself thinking more of A models these days.

Hans, I will miss you and Maureen too. Too much on my plate to do it all. Between now and January I will be making the shavings fly, then the NAMM show in January, and than back to work in the shop until late May when the "events" really begin for the summer.

Keep an eye or ear out for a couple of my mandolins that will be there. Scott Gates and Thomas Kingsley will have to suffice as my representatives. Young whippersnappers though they are, they are pretty good pickers.

Hans...you continue to amaze me! While I generally don't prefer big leaf Maple, it could be tempting after seeing this one!

It will be sad having both Michael and Dale gone from IBMA this year. You will both be missed.
    Have a Great Day!
