Hans' work just keeps getting more beautiful with every instrument he makes. I'm slowing down while he seems to be just hitting his stride!

A split Oreo with a dreamy tone, no doubt! Brave back color... I really like it. Wonderful looking instrument. Congrats, Hans and Chuck.

Thank you all for the kind comments....it is quite striking and unique, isn't it? This will be my second Brentrup, and I'm certainly looking forward to picking it up. Hans had offered to ship it, but when he told me that if I elected to pick it up in person, then I would have the opportunity to eat at the Old Country Buffet. My decision was not difficult.

I'll post my impressions of the tonal qualities in a few days, or after I learn to play, whichever comes first.

Hans, your work is disgusting.....ly beautiful as always !!! I still like that Pink Ivory mandolin though. You would need a trailer to carry it to a gig though .

Hans, that is one beautiful mandolin. Have you ever considered adding a "constuction" page to your website. Now that would be interesting.

Hans - another beautiful instrument. As Mary Poppins would say "Practically perfect in every way."

    Keep up the great work.

Thanks all! Just got my DSL back after a bad storm that tore down the power lines Thursday nite.
Wes, we call that one a blackburst.
Paul, we are going to do something soon to update the website, but probably not for a couple of months. Next few weeks are really busy with IBMA and all.
I was going to try for some sound clips of Chuck playing his new instrument, but it was such a whirlwind trip for him that we didn't have much time. Did manage to get him fed and to the hotel, brunched today, trip to the Sprawl of America, and back to MSP International in time for his flight out to LAX.
