Long time lurker, sometime poster - just a quick picture of my just finished Flying V mandolin. 13.75" scale length, Andrew Jerman bridge, Alder body, Maple neck, p-Bass pickup. Sounds great. Present for my son's college graduation.

Thanks for all that this forum provides.

My first bought with insomnia was a V like this. Single vP bass pickup and later a Bill Lawrence dual blade pickup. Got lots of great comments while I was playing it out in the early 90s...Kerry K

is the string spacing narrower at the bridge than the nut or is that just an optical illusion?

String spacing increases down the neck but not as wide as the neck. I would definately narrow the fretboard a little next time.

PigDawg - it is strung for a Mando at 13.75", but I guess I could restring for a Suprano Uke.

Looks like a real "Johnny Rocker" Now you can do "Pete Townshend split leg "V" airials" while slashing through the chops on "Banks of the Ohio"
Somehow that just don't sound right!
