    Ah yes, the July 9th reverse binding comparison party in Knoxville. I remember it well. All three came from the same trees as Monroes. There are other photos and one showing a side shot which you can see the maple grains all running the same. Can't remember who had the best one so I'll just go with I did!

    Hmmm 3 quarters of a million dollars worth of mandolins......(or at least that much a couple of years ago)

    It was after a show Skaggs did and met him backstage for the "side bound convention". Time enough to pick a few old Monroe tunes. First time back together since leaving the factory in separate boxes in 1923.
