I just received my new Gibson F-9 (dated July 24) and man am I impressed.

I had played a couple used F-9s and liked the tone and volume, but wasn't sure what to expect from one that hadn't been broken in. I have never owned a new mandolin of this caliber, so I was not sure what to expect. I was blown away yesterday while rehearsing with my band at how awesome the tone and volume are and can't wait until it is broken in good and starts to open up.

Thanks to Gibson for producing such a high quality instrument that didn't completely break the bank.

I have been too busy playing it to take pics. I will post some tonight if I get a chance.
