I've been buying strings from this company for years. They sell mandolin, guitar and banjo strings - way cheap. For example, Medium gauge mandolin strings are $25.00 per one dozen sets or $14.00 per half dozen sets. No (and I do mean no) frills - just good quality strings (cheap). BTW - I am in no way affiliated with this company. I first saw an ad in a magazine about 10 years ago - becoming a steady customer every since; outfitting 6 mandos, 7 guitars guitars and 1 banjo.

The A (2nd) strings are 0.014", which are a little light and low tension compared to the G (4th), D (3rd), and E (1st) strings. Still, you can buy some 0.015" or 0.016" loop end strings to replace the 0.014"s and still have a set for half the price (or less) of store-boughten name-brand strings.
