I am currently learning mandolin with Roland White´s excellent book. To help me practice, I have made some backing tracks that I have shared on my new home page. You are welcome to download the tracks. Enjoy!

Great idea but not sure how you download them.

Great website, but there's a problem with plug-ins.

    Can't download your wave files.

You need to check the code.

    Cheers, John.

Sorry, I made this page in a hurry last night. Now it seems that all the sound files are loaded each time the download page is opened and that the files are only playable as streaming audio - if you have Quicktime installed.

I will change this into more ordinary links to the mp3 files.

    Sounds like a good idea.

Can't wait to hear what "fast enough" means (St. Anne's Reel - I prefer
    a fairly moderate pace).

Well, it is not that extremely fast, it is the same tempo that Roland White use in the book. But it is very fast to me!

Still working on the downloads page. While you wait, here´s a link to St Annes Reel:

I am considering removing the drum part - but so far I have kept it. I will add more files - and if I get enough requests - slowed down versions.

And maybe I should release a CD called "Mando Karaoke vol 1" #
