Rochester(ny) mandolin ensemble

We are starting a new mandolin ensemble in Rochester, NY. Rehearsals are weekly, Monday evening 7 – 9. No fees or dues are charged. We are looking for new members and currently need an acoustic rhythm guitar player, acoustic bass player, mandolins and mandola players. We play all types of music ranging from classical to Blue Grass. Intermediate skill levels are welcome. Anyone interested please send an Email to, Kmathers.

I gotta tell you guys, this fella, Kevin #Mathers makes one heck of an instrument. I have the F4 3 point on his website. It holds the record for the mandolin that #I have kept the longest (over a year) and played the most. Absolutely a great mando. John

I need to second what John said; Kevin is a great guy who builds a GREAT mandolin. I recieved my Old Time F4-3 Point on July 1st, 2006 and have loved it ever since. I took it to show the folks at that fine vintage shop in Lansing Michigan and they said that it was one of the best sounding and playing mandolins they have seen. They A/B'd it against Gibsons, Collings, Webers and it out performed them all. Mine has a Fishman bridge and an internal goose neck mic ran into an outboard preamp/mixer and it sounds awesome!!! I have Kevin's first A style, a 2005, shown on his website. It is a great mandolin. Earlier this week tried a brand new Lyon & Healy he just completed. Incredible!
