Does anyone have a rough sketch and dimensions for the old Kay manolin with the odd shape. I believe it was called the one point.
    Thanks,
    Bill
Edit: Am editing this to include an image and thought I'd be more specific about what I'm looking for. I'd like a rough sketch of the body, plus dimensions of the oval hole and location of the hole.
Appreciate any help you can offer.

These had a 13" scale. You can figure out the rest just from that if you have one half-decent front-on image to work with. Such as this:

Cut and paste Paul's photo and increase the image by 3.33. That will put you at a 13" scale. A local copy shop should be able to print it for you full size. I've done that on several instruments.

Since the photo is of an f holed instrument that won't give him the size of the oval hole.
I have done what is being mentioned except I did not go to a copy shop. I used a drawing program and imported a photo and scaled it up until it was the apropriate size and then traced it.
I am not interested in building an exact copy, just thought I might eventually build something with the same look.

Scaling photos is dicey if you want an exact plan, but will do fine for a rough sketch IF the photo is dead on straight. If not, you'll have issues, I think.
I'll try this if nobody has a sketch of this instrument.
    Thanks guys,

Violinmakers routinely build off photos, notably the fullsize centerfolds in Strad magazine. Your only issue will be a slightly different body shape, which will likely be the least of your problems if you're trying to copy a Kay. I think there's a lot of room for refinement of that design, and who would want a precise copy anyway? I would definitely go to the longer 13-7/8" scale as well.
