I smashed my left pinky! Now what am I going to do? I guess I could just stare at the mando or smell it! My whole hand hurts and cannot even play a single note. Should I take this time of dispare and shop around for a better one? Should I allow MAS to do it's work? I just don't know what I am supposed to do.

Try to relax and take a brake from playing...both mentally and physically...it can sometimes be a blessing in disguise.

Maybe listen to some types of music you are unfamiliar with to broaden your horizons.

    Just some ideas.

Hey, Django played amazingly with only two fingers on his left hand. Why not give it a try?

You could always do some music theory studies. Practice transposing stuff on paper between keys, etc...

I will transpose solos that I like when my hands are bothering me.

    I hope you're better soon.

    PLAY ANYWAY!!!

hehe, just kiddin'. take a break and let your hand heal. I hurt my hand pretty badly a few months ago and had to take some time off mando, but I found that when I came back, I felt refreshed and ready to go... get better soon!

Well, I think I am going to live. Might lose a fingernail but, feeling better. Been plunkin on my 12 string and my finger really doesn't hurt unless I try to hammer on or lay it on the string the wrong way. Took everyones advise and just said the heck with it for a few days and tried to heal up. Going to try the mando tonite. Thanks everyone!!!
