Power Outage while recording!

Well folks, it has been a realy busy month for me, not much consistent practice.

I really need to record Cherokee Shuffle and get on to CITC (a tune which perplexes me yet, I can't get the feel for it), and started last night around 930. #Take after take after take. #Things were just starting to lay down decently and the power goes out. Bam.

Stayed out for a couple of hours. #I went to bed. #Don't remember and haven't checked yet as to what is saved.

I also tried to backing up with the guitar. #I am very comfortable playing (strumming) a guitar, but recording adn picking to it was a different story! #I may end up doing just a barebones melody of it again like last month.

Hey benig, you wouldn't happen to have a few back up tracks like you did for Sally Goodin, say at 120-150 bpm? #

Bummer about the outage. A couple summers ago, during Calif's 'Rolling Blackouts', I had been sitting around playing guitar and wondered what time is was ... when I realized the power was out, and apparently had been for several hours! LOL!

That's when I knew that acoustic string music was the life for me! Unplugged? I don't have any plugs to "un".

Alan, I have to go to work now, but maybe tonight I'll have a chance to record a guitar part for ya'. My studio is very simple to operate, so it's not too much of a hassle. But, you pick the tempo you want, 'cause you're the one who'll have to play over it, right?

I couldn't remember who did it with Sally Goodin, someone posted backup at 60 120 180 and 210 bpm or something like that.

I'll let you know about the bpm, I usually set Tabledit for 120 when I play CS, but I always feel i could get to 150.

PS I should be able to do this myself, but it will take a little practice. I found that my headphones' cable is way too short to reach from under the desk where my PC is to be able to listen to one track while recording the other, so I may have to move my PC for this.
