My F4 likes Celtic, my Collings straight ahead grass, the mandola is a mixed bag. While the Stanley plays about anything well, it shines when playing Monroe. I find that I am back to working the Chris Stanley Monroe Mando DVD and fine tuning, well for me anyway, how I am playing them. The Stanley just sings Big Mon and Wheel Hoss. I guess this should not be a surprise as Chris seems to be trying to master the Loar sound, but it still amazes me. A friend, who is a fine player and had been playing an eclectic mix of mando noodling on his Silverangel, picked up my mando and within a few notes started playing his Monroe numbers one after another. This was with no conversation. Have a good day all.
I just noticed that there should have been they're, whoops.
