For Christmas, I got a British Acoustic-Energy Wi-Fi stand alone radio that plays off my wireless cable system and it is great. There are wonderful stations playing very world music with mando-centric stuff everywhere. Amazing Indonesian music next to Swiss "folk music" next to great bluegrass, folk, arabic, Chinese and on and on. Over 10,000 free stations and it can be hooked up to a stereo (if needed) for that full sound. Playing along with music from Madagascar and rural India is fun. This rivals the fun of old short wave surfing. As I sit here there is odd mandolin German oom-pah music in 7/8 time on the Volksmusiknet station. Has anyone else tried this great AE radio?
