Carles - great job. #Like flattop, I found this to be a fascinating thread. #My wife was gibber-jabbering at me and I only heard about three things she said in the entire 20 minutes it took me to read through this!

I love the look of F-2's and F-4's and would love to have one some day! #Good luck selling this one. #

(Gee, and you're here in Michigan; I could have arranged to stop over and see it!)

    All the best.

    Mark

well it finally sold, I did not make any money off it so I doubt my wife will let me empty the savings for another project right away but it was fun anyways.

Hey, refins are a tough sell no matter how good a job you did (and I do think you did a great job).

Well the new owner of the F-4 is very happy with my restoration. He gave me permission to post his comments on the repaire work.

    "Carles,

The mandolin arrived alive and well. Thanks for restoring a wonderful piece of mandolin history. I’ve had work done by Randy Wood, John Arnold and Wayne Henderson over the years and your color and finish restoration rival any I’ve seen. I’ve had the privilege of owning several fine instruments in my 59 years and it’s a real treat to add this one to the list.

    All the best,

    Michael Reno Harrell "
