Hi folks,
I just met an older fellow who showed me his fathers old mandolin. I'd like to find out what year it was made, if possible. according to the label it's a Gibson A-1 #32457. It hasn't been played in many years and needs a bit of work, but there does not seem to be anything seriously wrong with it. Good finish on the top. No cracks. It'll probably be for sale soon but we've not yet determined it's value. Any help?

It was made in 1917 according to the archives.A guess but anywhere from $700-$1200 depending on amount of work needed for value of instrument.That would be a guesstimate!
