Hi guys, I just recently bought a 81 Taggart F style and it has the kind of tuners that are not reversed, they are gold and in good condition and I was just wondering if anyone may be interested in trading some regular gold schaller tuners for them, if not does anyone have a spare set of Schallers that they want to get rid of? #Thanks, I can be reached at dwj9124@yahoo.com
Well I ended up buying some Grovers on ebay, the deluxe kind. When I went to install them the upper most tuner knob hit the peghead. After studying the problem I saw that the tuner handle was on the opposite side of the string post as the original non reversed tuners. So I took all the handles and posts apart, flipped the base 180 out and reassembled everything, worked like a charm. It still tunes as a nonreversed tuner but they work so smooth and sweet, first time I used Grovers and I love em. Just wanted to post this in case someone else runs into the same problem.
