Here's one for you....Setting aside the usual F5-style headstock...which for me is the most beautiful way to end a mandolin...are there any other headstocks (either seen or owned) that match it?
Pics appreciated.

I know my friend Uncle Choppy will insist that I am sick in the head but I really, really like my eastman 505 headstock. Quite unusual.
I like tapered headstocks...snakeheads and their derivatives.
Here's my Newell modified-scroll F with tapered headstock. It's not traditional but I think it is beautiful.
I do not have a good picture of the front of mine, but here is the headstock design that's on it, though mine is ebony. Simple and elegant in my opinion.

I do like that Eclipse headstock.
Not a traditional mando design, but here's the carved headstock from my Brian Dean OM... he does some really unique work...

You are doing nothing wrong. You have to have your picture on a host such as Photobucket or Tinypic. Then you enter the host address and the picture will appear on your message.Originally Posted by (mandomadman @ Nov. 24 2006, 18:23)

This is my Michael Terris. Kinda looks like a traditional F-5 headstock that has had the scrolls knocked off. I really like the design.

In the POST A PHOTO section there is a thresd about headstocks that is several pages long. There are some realy nice things there.
..including Michael's awsome Art Deco style headstocks. He's an artist of wood.

However, I do quite like the non-symmetrical Eastman headstock in this picture of an MD805 (top) from "The Twelfth Fret" website.
Having said that, I dearly wish that Eastman would do a blackface snakehead. I'm pretty sure one of them would make me sound like Andy Statman #
