Several months ago there was a thread about straps and mando color combinations. There was an incredible looking black face/blonde(A or F,can't remember) that had a matching black and blonde strap. I've done a little search but ran out a patience. Can someone post pics of that mando again?.......please??
I'll take pics of other black and blondes too.

Dang it, Bruce. Every time I see a pic of Arthur's Smart I start drooling. It's unseemly.

The strap ,by the way, was made by Randy King.

Just a small footnote. This mandolin was Andy's first "commissioned" piece. A pretty good start I'd say.

Oh, and it lives with me.

    B.pat,
Glad you chimed in.I was wondering who had it. When I first saw this mando my jaw dropped. Now I have a order for an A model similar to this.I think I'm going to use I/B/I binding but your mando is to die for. I'm guessing it sounds ok too.

    Jim.
What kind of tailpiece is that on your instrument? I'm building a blonde with black binding now and would like a black tailpiece.
    Thanks,

I used a standard mandolin tailpiece and sawed off the crown and inlayed the metal cover into a piece of ebony.

Jim you're killing me as always. Do you think black and blonde with I/B/I binding will look ok? I've seen some blonde Gils with I/B/I and thought that looked fine. Has anyone done it the way I plan to? Any pics?

Not a black face but the contrast from Pat's #6 was what drove me toward a Dark front light sides back and neck and the black binding. Also went with the sandwiched three peice neck that #6 has even though you can't see it in these pictures.

Amanda: Please show us some more. Did you get it yet? Looks awesome. Andy has been a busy man this year. Wonder how long his waiting list is getting.
