Here's a vote for the Simon Mayor CD which I just got a chance to hear for the first time today. I'm not surprised at how well I like it. He's a real genius on everything he touches, and he's as good at arranging as he is playing. Very highly recommended.

You can get it at Elderly if you're in the states or directly from Simon if you're in the UK. Or... order the other way around if you prefer, but do give this one a listen. It's simply brilliant.

Thanks for the heads up Scott. SM gets a lot of airplay in our house, and even my wife likes him -- and that's saying something since as a general rule she hates mandolin music.

Can't wait to hear it. Been following his work for years, the man's a genius.

Add my vote for this album - simply beautiful and really artistic. I opted for the downloaded version since I'm so impatient. In this case my impatience was rewarded.

Yeah, I like him as well! Thus, he is very well recognized all over the mandolin world! I`m not so excited of his interpretations of classical mandolin pieces, but i like everything else, especially his own compositions. I do also highly appreciate his efforts to make mandolin music for children. Great guy! I hope to get the CD soon.

    Best,
    Plamen
