There are a couple of players here in Memphis with Daleys. They are great mandolins. I hope to add to the chorus come this spring. My Classic is on order.

Yeah they are good. Good enough that Adam Steffy put down his Gibson to play one.

I played #31 about a year ago and ordered one immediately - it had the sound I wanted. He produces approx. one a month, so he must be approaching #50 by now. Last we spoke, he had a waiting list of 22. Call Sim, tell him what you want and you'll come away with the feeling that he knows what he's doing, and can meet your needs.

Sim delivered #44 to me the middle of August just before he took a month's vacation in England. I talked to him last week, he's back at the shop.

Classic model, red spruce top, matte lacquer finish. The mandolin has really opened up over the past two months, I'm very pleased with the tone: classic bluegrass, no excuses. Sim really knows how to make 'em!

    Thumbs up

I own #48, a standard. I love this mandolin, traded a Weber Fern in for it, and haven't looked back. In the two WEEKS I've had it it's already opening up!!

    Ken,

I'll post some, maybe tonight. You will also see it 'in all it's glory' at a festival this summer. Maybe the Dam Jam or Founders??
