    Question

I just put these strings on my mandolin. They sound pretty good except for the metal twang on the G and D's which, I know, will subside with time. What is ya'lls experience with these?

They make my KM-250S sound great. I get them at Suncreek Music for $6.49 a set.

Hey jbmando! That's a great price for these strings! I paid $8.49 from MusiciansFriend.com I guess Suncreek Music is in PA? I used to have a KM-250s. They are good little mandos. Thanks for the feedback.

I went from J74s to Monroes on my A9. Didn't notice much difference. Just replaced those with Sam Bush strings. Don't really like those. I'll go back to Monroes or J74s again. I paid $7.10 for the Monroes at Just Strings.

No, Suncreek Music is in Colorado. Shipping to me is usually under $3.00 so if I get enough stuff to average out the shipping cost, most things are very reasonable from them.

Gibson strings for the Gibson mandolin. I've tried others, but the sound isn't the same. They will sometimes go on sale for about $6.00 a set. A small independent store near me used to sell for $5.49 a set, but went out of business. Should have bought more, I guess. Dan
