Im just starting to use BB to practice and was wondering if anyone out there who is good at this sort of thing could help me. i would love to be able to have the songs not sound like a computer. is there a way to hook up a midi or other tones to make the program sound more like a real band and not its default tone.
    thank you

Matt: I think this is a function of your sound card, not BIAB. If you are using a Windows PC, go to Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, Audio and see what is listed under MIDI Music Playback. Hope this helps.

Yes, try the Roland soft synth that comes with BIAB (it may be a separate install); or try a real synth (keyboard). Ask in the Band in a Box Yahoo group or PGMusic's BIAB forum, and you will get better answers.

For real professional results, it's usually recommended to post-process the MIDI files with Sonar or something similar, to add the "human" touch.
