I've been wanting to come up with my own peghead inlay design, so today I started doodling. #What do you think? #I'm planning on using abalone dots in the fingerboard, so the dot in the center of the inlay would also be abalone, with the rest cut from mother of pearl.
    (sorry for the lousy image)

I should really be practicing instead of sitting in front of the computer.

Very nice...simple and pretty, but I would make the larger curls out of abalone and the center dot and smaller curls out of mother of pearl for a contrast. Just my 2 cents.

i don't know about larger curls and whatnot but i do like what you've got there, its a great alternative to yet another ole' flowerpot or fern inlay, its simple and it relfects the curves and scroll on teh body, which should tie in nicely, i think its a keeper, and remember, less is more unless you like rinestone suits , in that case, more is more...
