York airconditioners is running a TV ad which begins with a guitar solo. Actually, I think it could be a 12 string or maybe a zouk. As the camera switches to different people, they say the name of the color they chose for their A/C compressor housing which sits outside the house.
The commercial begins with the first player playing the guitar saying 'Terra Cotta"

The solo ishanded off to a couple other musicians who are York 'owners'. The second playing an accordion and the third a guitar. At the end the last musician whistles the ditty.

What's the name of that tune?

I like it and would like to learn it.

I think he is thinking of the second ad in the list, but I don't know what tune it is. Kind of catchy though.

Sounds like the chord progression for "One Meat Ball," with a whistled obbligato above it. Just a guess.

It sounds like part of that Stray Cats song.... # # # # # #

I think that it is the one called Stray Cats Strut.

Anyone else hear that in it?

It's the "People Like Color AC and HP"
You gotta go through a several hoops to make it play.
Select Windows Media or Quick time, high or low resolution. Click 'view' next to the desired ad, then click the start button.

    Thanks for the link JGWoods!

Yep, HarmonyRexy. #That sure sounds like one phrase from the "Stray Cat Strut". #It just keeps repeating over and over. #It seems just like perhaps two measures repeated continuously.

I think Allen is right, although I do hear a similarity to the Stray Cats song.

It reminds me of one Ray Charles did with Aretha Franklin way back- I think the name of it was "Hit the Road Jack" or something like that.

"Stray Cats Strut" I think that's it. I believe we played that one in Pep Band in High School. "Hit the Road Jack" could be a winner too. No law aginst borrowin' chord progressions. I don't know "One Meat Ball", but if you could hum a few bars.

You guys are the Cats Pajamas!
