Just received this yesterday (from Netflix of all places). DG and quartet at the 1983 Montreal Jazz Festival. Only watched about half of it so far but it appears to be a must have for all Dawg fans. Mike Marshall primarily on guitar with some mandocello. Darol Anger, and Rob Wasserman. The band rips and are very tight. Some tunes: Blue Midnight, Opus 38, Gypsy Medley, Dawg Grass, Minor Swing, Cedar Hill and others. Highly reccomended.

Funny, a friend of mine got it from Netflix as well, I saw only a little bit of it though. The band is very tight and the sound quality is excellent. However, there is no Dawg banter between the tunes which is always interesting. I will be purchasing this puppy very soon.

Anyone know what make the mandolins and mandocello are... they all seem to have the same headstock, but I can't make out the name on them???

Mike's mandocello is a Monteleone & David also played a Monteleone Grande Artist in that era.
He used the arched fingerboard after recovering from tendonitis. There were the Kentucky Dawg
models too, but it probably is the GA. The GA became the cover for the DGQ's Quintet 80 album.
