my wife and i just bought our first house in kingsport, tn and was wondering if there were any cafe members in the area interested in jammimng. whether at a local venue or someones home.

i have plenty of room in my new house to play as my basement is finished and pretty much wide open, good acoustics too. if anyone is interested we could get together here and jam if there are no venues to play at on a regular basis or are convenient to get to. let me know if anyone would be interested in getting together to pick.

    Bristol - Downtown Center

This is probably not your final solution but this is probably a way to find more musicians in the area.

I'm in Kingport and always looking for someone to pick with if you don't mind a beginner. There are a number of open jams in the area also.

Hey there are a lot of players in the area. If you moved here for the music you hit a home run. I'm about 30 south of you and there's pickin all the time. Ratliff's shop is between us, stop by sometime. You can contact me at spiceybun@fastmac.net.

    Talk to you soon.

anyone here ever go to the Red Barn, near Erwin off Dry Creek Road? my ETSU band got up there for a few number (my first time on stage!) and we watched jery keys, jack tottle and the rage's hunter berry play for a while (and the guy that got on stage with marty stuart at rhythm and roots to do some carter tunes) in the basement of a house next door to it , lots of fun. i think i will head out there next week, too

Hey Wes. I'm the guy who ran into you at Morrell's last week. I knew you were familiar from somewhere....Just let me know when and I'll be there. I guess we could have a problem with too many mandos, but I can bring along some other instruments.
