A while back I purchased some Labella flatwounds and can't seem to remember where. I'm not even sure of the gauges but they are slightly lighter than .040-.011. The A string is wound and they were about $10.00 a set. They were not the Jazz set that Ted offers.

Internet searches have come up empty and I'd sure like to find a source for them.

    Any help?

    Thank you.

The sets that "Just Strings" offers don't specify that they are flat wound and I also don't see one with a wound A string.

I'm pretty sure the place I found them had "Tree" in the name...just can't seem to remember.

This is the string in question (different than JustStrings listings). VERY limited distribution: MF10, MF20 Press Release.
Source (if you can get through the registration): International Violins.
Or try Terry at The Music Tree.

    No financial interest.

    That's the one!

Thanks Ted, I suspected you would weigh in with the answer.

Speaking of Labellas... any latest word, Ted, on L's for mandola? I've been holding off changing my 'dola strings, as I'm eager to try out those new sets coming down the pike.
