Lots of folks know that John Monteleone keeps a jar on his workbench that contains the shavings from Mike Marshall's Loar from when he removed it's back to regraduate it's top and to replace it's old Virzi-notched tonebars. Does anyone know if this was done before or after Mike recorded his "Gator Stut" album?
My ears were too immature when I first bought this LP years ago to appreciate it, but I am now really digging Thelonius Monk's "Round Midnight" with Tony Rice and Mike's "Scotch & Swing" which is Bill Monroe's "Scotland" as it would be played by the Hot Club of France.
