I won a partial scholarship to the Mandolin Symposium this year and was finally able to attend for the first time! I told Ruffo that I wanted to thank the scholarship contributors and he told me that most of them are from the Mandolin Cafe. So to all of you who contributed I wanted to say THANKS for helping me to participate in one of the most memorable and mind blowing experiences of my life. # # # It was so incredible that I am honestly speechless about the whole experience. I simply can't put into words the way it felt to be in Mandolin Heaven for an entire week. When I recover from the physical exhaustion and the amazement of breathing, sleeping, and eating mandolin for about 20 hours a day during the past week.... I will try to put it into words and post about it. # #

You have already put it into words. Congrats.

I hope you get to go Jamie. I still can't talk about it yet. I'm one of those people who usually won't stop talking about something that just happened but with this it is like you just had to be there to know what I am talking about. I mean just being surrounded by so many people who worship the most beautiful instrument in the world... and being around Mike Marshall,Don Sternberg and playing with all of them. Not to mention that I have a task list of about 15 things I want to work on now from what I learned. I have to say that you also can't go just one time (but you should at least go once even if you can't come back). Once you are there you realize that you must come back every year- to Mandolin Heaven!
