I play a MK Dragonfly and when I play live, my hands always sweat and slow down. Also the neck is a little fat compared to higher end models I like. so.. i am taking it to Sim Daley in Nashville to get the finish removed from the neck and some of the thickness taken off. Is this a bad idea for any reason? will this make it alot faster? just wondering.

I think removing the finish will make it less sticky.. lots of guys do it so there must be something to it.

As far as re-shaping the neck? #It might make it more comfortable which may translate into more speed. #
Is it a good idea? #Only you can answer that question!
