although at first, i want to say this song should be VERY easy to pick out by ear, nothing unusual about it - there is a nice chord on the chorus that New Grass Revival put in their version (in A i'm pretty sure) where you go to the vi minor (Em in G or F#m in A) that gives a little *push* to the IV chord and the harmony is more interesting. this would be the last line where the

I was just thinking of Sammys ko on that one the other day..its soooo good...but I actually think its in Bflat and the minor chord would be G minor.

Chords? You don't need no stinkin' chords.

Wicked Path Of Sin is possibly the hardest and subsequently of one of the most satisfying songs to listen to and sing in the BG tradition. If done well (NGR, Monroe, The Bluegrass album), you don't even hear the accompaniment (which in the Monroe version is just a guitar mostly) because of the power of the singing. Just remember to sing "joybells" and not "doorbells" as one of the Monroe songbooks has it <G>

If you can't sing it, don't even try to do it <G>
