Pardon me if this is already common knowledge, I haven't posted in a little while.. but I called Ken today and I found out he's got some of the IV kits in stock with no F holes, so you can do an oval hole model if you want. I got the impression that there aren't very many, I don't think I'll be able to afford one this time around I guess. And I think the regular kits will be back in next week some time. For those of you that have been thinking about building one, the ones with the best figure usually go first, so I'd recommend not waiting.

So you think they ship the best ones of a batch first? If so,I must have gotten the last one of the the last batch. They did run out just after mine arrived. Not much figure in the back and the ribs and neck are as plain as a popsicle stick. Also the back was too narrow and I had to glue on wings. But for $90 bucks, who can complain? I wish I had another hunk of matching binding so I could do the back and head stock.

I just think Ken has a lot of people like me that ask him to send the best looking one he's got. Even the ones with low or no figure end up sounding great.
