The story is worth reading, or at least I thought it was. According to the article Eastman is going to also start building dreadnaught style guitars to compete with Martin and Taylor. If they are as successful there as they have been with mandolins, Martin and Taylor will feel the impact. The article talks about the high quality tonewoods that are available in Asia as well as the production process, etc. I've never seen "Bluegrass Unlimited" on a newsstand in Montana....anyone wanting to read the article might have to subscribe. The current issue is their annual issue on various instrument builders.
