Let me start off with # #

Please bare with me here guys! I am so excited I’m shaking!

So I open up my email last night and see an email with the Subject “Eastman Lefty”. I thought oh maybe someone on the Café has one for sale. No it was from Gordon at Eastman saying to give him a call. So I gave him a call this afternoon and he says to me(This may not be word for word, I was too d*mn excited to listen correctly!) You’re not going to find a true lefty Mandolin for $200 dollars. And Eastman would like to do something for you and your military service. So what I would like to do is offer you one of our Lefties for $200 #Right about then is when I almost sh*t myself! He says he is going to get in contact with Steve at Gianna Violins and let him know what’s up and that Steve would be calling me. So my excitement level is through the roof at this point! Little Ol’ me, a beginner Mando player who was going to spend $160 on a Kentucky KM 140 and have it turned into a lefty! #Now I get to learn on a great Eastman for only $200!! Just for doing a job I was trained to do in another country? God Bless America! This must be too good to be true! But no it gets better! #I then get the call from Steve. He says, I’ve got a great Eastman Mandolin here for you, I did my Mandovoodoo™ on it and everything. He gets my vital info and we talk a little bit about the service and his time in Egypt. He starts to get off the phone at this point and I say hey Gordon said something about $200 dollars. Nah, he says. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!?? Just send Gordon some pictures of you pickin’ over in Iraq and leave some comments on the Café. Are you kidding me??!! I don’t even know what to say! I wish I could have composed myself a little better when I was on the phone with both Gordon and Steve, to let them know how incredibly grateful I am! Thank you Gordon and Eastman Mandolins, and Thank you Steve Perry @ Gianna Violins! Words can’t even describe how excited and grateful I am! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! My words now aren’t even good enough, I have been shaking with excitement ever since I got off the phone! I even took a little while to calm down, didn’t work!! #Thank you to, two great men and two great companies! When it gets here I’ll take some pictures and let you know how it plays(As if my playing will do it any justice for awhile) Thanks again Gordon and Steve!! #I #know I will be doing business with both of you again! Lets hear it for Steve and Gordon!

I can't speak for Gordon because I haven't met him but I can honestly say that Steve is just a wonderful guy and this doesn't surprise me at all with him. #Congratulations and thank you so much for serving our great country.

That fine mandolin is the least anyone can do for you, because you do so much for us. I can't imagine being in your shoes: oversees with a rifle around your body and an EASTMAN on your knee.

Be good. Pick it clean out there.

    Congrats, Charles!!

Thanks for your service. Remember HYDRATE OR DIE goes for the mando too. You'll want to get one of those green snakelike humidifiers and check it a couple times a day to help keep that new mando from drying out, shrinking and falling apart.
