So, as some of you may remember, I got me a cheapo Baritone Uke this summer for camping and beach and stuff. #Tuned the strings that came on it to GDAE, and it worked fine. #I've since put a new set of strings on, and it's not working so fine any more. #My A string is waaaaay too loose. #The G and D are also a touch loose but it's manageable.
Here's what's on there: #G .034, D .029, A .036, E .028... it's a set of GHS Baritone Uke strings. #Meant to be tuned DGBE. So I was thinking... why not some classical guitar strings? #Something like G .036, D .030, A .040 or .041, E .028...
Anyone see any major issues with trying this out? #Are classical guitar strings pretty much the same thing as uke strings, only longer? Thanks in advance.
