Volume control for schertler Dyn pickup

Does anyone have any ideas for a beltclip volume control for a Schertler Dyn-M? It doesn't need a preamp, just an volume attenuator.

i dont know? you could always run it through a volume pedal. actually i think all of the members in nickel creek do that. atleast when i saw them i notice them haveing them.

I think the volume pedal is the way to go, they're easier to use than a beltclip.
Could I gently suggest that wearing a beltclip anything is kinda dorky? And, makes it much more likely you'll get tangled up in the schertlers skinny little cable.

Hahaha. Yes, maybe I should wear a pencil pocket protector with my belt clip volume control.
I like the volume pedal idea.(although I'll probably trip over it alot)

That's right and it wouldn't be a bad idea with the Schertler to set the minimum at a little above 3 quarters of the max. #It'll allow you to stomp it down for rhythm playing and stop it back up for solos without being forced to cautiously feel around...

maybe if you ask Mr Schatten nice, He will make one up thats XLR in and out.

then where to put the box, with the knob on it?

FWIW, there is a rather small mixer that Behringer has
as its least costly, one mic channel, [a line channel too]
could clip on the mic stand or a music stand.
wall wart goes somewhere..

Really? What I see when I watch many big name performers on TV or onstage, I see a lot of "belt boxes" for mikes, guitar pickups, in-ear monitors, etc. Sometimes they hide them well, like on the back of the belt and under clothes, but of big names have them.

I have often wanted a volume pedal with XLR in and out - but I have never found one. It is a hassle with my Scertler to get the sound man to mute it if I put it down.

Just muting it is easier, Neutrik makes an XLR end with a rotary switch, for mics without an on off switch. just replace the end of A Mic cable with that one. only slightly longer than a regular Female end.

I ordered one of the Neutrik switch connectors today from Jack's music. I'll solder up a pigtail with a switch and see how it works out.
