Could anyone help me with the chord progression for Tim O'Briens version of Long Black Veil on the new CD Fiddler's Green? I think its in G, but probably wrong.

Unless Tim changed the chord progression those aren`t the correct chords played by all other groups...After the D-7th it comes back to a C chord and then the home chord(G)....The chourse is different also.....

I haven't heard O'Brien's version, but those chords would be a lot different than any version I've heard or played, too. Some changes are not even on the right word.

Yes!..." Willie done spoke da' truff." - You COULD(!?) stay in that "V" then back home - BUT, all "versions" I've heard(including mine!##) - GO back to a quick "IV" - then "home"- If no one is THAT familiar with the song..., they wouldn't know the difference... Just my .02 - and the chord progrssion(s) - Good number - Good pickin'... - Moose.

my mistake on the iv chord, there was no way to show the beat so yes the chords are only close in that they change before the word they are above. i figured that would become clear on playing.
