I kinda like that warpo-mando! Wouldn't English spelling rules make it "mandolinning"? Mandolining looks like "mando-line-ing" to me. Ultimately it's your word so you get to decide how you want to spell it!

When I was a folkie kid in the '60's a couple of buddies & I would often find ourselves in some 'on-the-road' moment - crashing on a pew in some Greenwich Village church, trying to assemble the price of a sharable HoJo's meal out of our pooled pocket change, etc., and someone was bound to say "Hey, this would be great for our first album cover..." We were such unseasoned little ironists.

I kind of like the background, but I'm not sold on the fonts.

the style is really out there we're going to record everything from blues to celtic to bluegrass all instrumental... i tried to symbolize that idea in the crazy angled fonts, i dunno just my meager attempt Maine Michael.. i'm reading on the road by jack Keroauc right now awesome read for anyone looking for something...

Not to change the subject, but I enjoyed meeting you, Baron, at the Waterville Opera House and I loved the performance. I hope to talk to Steven soon about auditioning for the group.

Grisman (Mando) and Zeitlin (Piano) have a duet album with this cover:

You could explore the idea of symetry perhaps... something like this:

This is a "No Brainer" and since I am lacking a brain, I am highly qualified to solve your problem. Seventeen years of graphic design work helps a bit also.

Go borrow someone's canoe, the two of you pretend to be paddling with mandolins and simply Photoshop in water and a wilderness vista.

I had thought of something similar to what John Walser suggested. Another thought was mountain climbing with mandolins in hand.

    John
That is exactly what I was thinking!
I wonder how many other graphic designers had the same thought...

I had the opportunity today to jam with Baron and John, who are recording this CD. That's me on the left, Baron in the middle and John on the right. These guys are awesome!
