    hi,
just but the digitech 80 effects/processer with an expression pedal (wah, volume, etc..). what fun! plan on using it for solo gigs (there is a cool drum machine, but not sure if i will go that way), primarily using the chorus, sustain/delay, and maybe some other effects for certain songs . there is an octave option i like that seems to provide a bit of a bassier tone which might work well for some tunes. anyway, right now just having fun with it. funny to send major distortion out of the amp from my little 2 point mando.
    peace,
    ira

    I confess.
I play mandolin thru my Black Box, too. But only some times!
Amp models don't do that much for me, but some chorus and delay can be a lotta fun.

One of my many guilty pleasures, I assure you.

Actually, running the drum machine thru the effects box is the best part. I can play along for hours with a groove going on.

used this device at my open mic last night- what a blast. the effects allowed for a more rich sound with extra bottom and fullness in my solo set, and at times for a different and in most cases better sound/feel in tunes done with others. i received many compliments after the set (as well as a compliment on my mando. a guitarist who had never been to the open mic told me that it was one of the most beautiful instruments he had ever seen- made my heart sing!)not for the a purist, but for those who do amplify and are looking for something more when using their acoustic instruments, and for those looking to do singer-songwriter stuff with just vocal and mando, it seems to offer alot!
