Just a quick note to let you know that BBC Radio 3 are going to feature a short interview with me and play a track from my Con Espressione CD (Cielo Stellato) at 6.30pm UK time on Sat 27th Aug.
Its part of a round up of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe that I am currently doing a run of 10 solo performances in.
    Might be fun!

Oh, I am absolutely certain it WILL be fun, Ali! Brava!

*envious grunt* It's also good to know that yes, there ARE in fact people (like yourself) who can actually play those dreadfully difficult Calace pieces, as opposed to only, ehm... fantasizing about doing so.

    Cheers,

    Victor

Congratulations, Ali! For those outside the reach of the BBC radio waves, all BBC stations are webcast, and most programmes stay available to listen again for seven days after the original broadcast (it may take a few hours for them to go online).

Looking at the Radio 3 web site, this particular programme has a rather peculiar description:

You aren't going to play some rembetiko, are you?

I had no idea I'd be missing so much by giving up the low life.

Excellent! I will definitely seek out the webcast. ...And I like "seedy dives," even some of those "on the fringe" ...if they happen to have stout on tap.

I know BBC TV video taped Greyfox for a bluegrass special.
