Just wondering if you pop in here, or if those who do know who you are. I recently got a bootleg recording from the early 80's of "The Johnsons". Fabulous mandolin work! Do you still play around the Hoosier state?

I know Don. He comes down to Columbus on occasion to play with a friend of mine. If I recall correctly he plays a 30's era Fern. He is still around central Indiana. Works in Indianapolis. I'll send an email to my friend and get the scoop on his current status/projects.

Thanks, I'd be interested in an update on what he's up to. He was a 2nd place at Winfield about twenty years ago. According to David Johnson, he plays a Monteleone.

    John,
Well, it may be another Don Anderson. The one I am thinking of plays mando and fiddle and is currently with a band called Birch Creek. He brought a 30's era Fern to a Mike Compton workshop in Columbus a couple years ago. I recall being surprised by how little volume it had compared to all the Gils around it.
