I just got a reply to this so I guess I should explain it. I knew of an estate auction in Akron a couple weeks ago that had a teens Gibson whiteface mando. I wanted to bid on it but the auctioneer wouldn't accept absentee bids. I was trying to find somebody who would be willing to go and bid for me for some financial compensation...without giving away everythign because then somebody else would have gone and either bid it up or won it. Auction's long gone now, so it's a moot point.

Do You know what it sold for. I wanted to go to that auction too and forgot about it till the day after. Didn't know anything about the mando I just saw #that a mandolin was up for auction. Think it was #the same auction.
