Mandolin for Symposium

Hello,

I'm a swedish guy coming to the Mandolin Symposium in Santa Cruz. Because of the flight I could only bring one mandolin and takes my 5-course flat-top with me.
I'm wondering if some other participant could lend or rent me a descent bluegrass mando during the week?
I would be so glad if someone have an extra mandolin to bring. That would suite many of the lessons better.

I would email the Symposium organizers if you don't get a response here. I'm sure one of the instructors will have an extra mandolin to use. Good luck!

You will have no problems finding a mando there to play. Instruments were freely being lent to peope for days to pick, or to buy,or practice. For the recitals you will play as small/medium orchestra's with mandos/mondolas/octive mandos/mando cellos. Many of these are the instructors personal instruments and they will let you practice with them
until -3am?? But others also need to practice their parts with them so consideration is a must. Make Marshall lent us his Monteleone or Gil Mandocello without 2nd thoughts of where it may be.Others bring multiple mandos, some to sell. Enjoy it, you'll have a great time.
