Best Natal Day wishes to you, Dawg!

I was extremely fortunate to be in St. Augustine for your performance with the Bluegrass Experience on St. Patrick's Day (my own birthday). By any measure it was a stellar show, even though you were a little disadvantaged in facing towards that early evening sun for a good part of your set! Keith (my fellow Californian) is playing/sounding better than ever, Chad is tearing it up (is there any style he can't play?), Billy is one terrific addition to the ensemble, and Sam is nothing short of phenomenal on the "Dawg"house bass....you've got to be proud!

Best wishes and profound thanks for many years (and varieties) of outstanding music!

Happy birthday, Mr. Grisman. I was able to see your sextet recently when you came through Chicago, as well as one of your shows with Del McCoury, and you only seem to get better with age! You're an inspiration to all of us!

Late to the game in wishing a happy birthday to one of the people that inspired me to pick up a mandolin in the first place. And a gift from the birthday boy! I'll honor that gift by running through it during tonight's practice, thanks!

Happy Birthday David. One of my special memories of your playing (and I have many since you've been in Santa Cruz a lot), was when you and John Reischman played his tune, "The North Shore," at one of the Mando Symposiums....to honor what would have been
    Bill Monroe's 100th birthday.

Happy belated birthday to the DAWG! I saw you play about 30 years ago in Madison, WI before I knew bluegrass and mando. I don't want to say you are a GOD, so instead will just mention that you are the senior member of my Mando Triumvirate (with Mike Marshall and Chris Thile). I love your music, especially the stuff with Jerry. Thanks! and Happy Birthday!
