    Default Remic condensor mic

Has anyone attempted to use a Remic violin mic on their mandolins? The mounting using the foam wedge system seems like it might work behind the bridge if not under the tailpiece. They get great reviews on bowed instruments.

I've been using DPA4099 on both fiddle and mandolin for the past 6 years or so. This is the first mic I've seen or heard in a while that gets close and I like the mounting.
