    Default Customized CT-55 BlueChip

I've been wanting tip profile between bluechip standard point and the rounded tip. Discussed over email with BC but they weren't interested in making one

The bass player at our jam showed me a neat 4 in 1 fingernail file board he uses to work on his TS picks. After trying it on a few $1 picks I went at my CT-55. Took just a touch off the point with the blue side of the file, and using the white and grey side polished the edges back to original look.

This is the tip I've wanted. Picks fine and smooth. Tremolo is smooth - I don't feel this point grabbing the strings on tremolo but still has the good volume of the standard point.

The one point I modified is upper right to logo. The file I got at Sally's beauty supply store.

Highly recommend this 4 in 1 file if you want to file and polish a pick. Easy does it. A few light rubs on the blue side left about $1 worth of BC dust on the file. File is washable and shows no wear from using it.

I don't have a BC but I use that same file for reshaping the tips of Primetones and other favorite picks. It's a very useful tool to have.

My first BC was a round-bevel TAD60. I added a bevel using the same file. It's interesting how easy it was to file, yet the pick still shows no wear from playing.

There's a great tradition of men with nail files in music. I've seen some pictures of Danny Gatton with a metal nail file jammed behind the bridge of his Telecaster, always ready for use. I think he used his on his fingernails, though.

I'va had one of those 4-way files / buffers for several years thanks to my wife. A very handy tool for pick shaping & polishing,

Will let you know how it works out compared to a standard file...

I have a set of 3 files that are diamond and each side is a different grit. Goes from 220-600 if I remember. Handy for things like this.
