..and the Naish Ramblers, Live at the Ryman was one of my favorite CD's years before I ever touched a mandolin or heard of Sam Bush or any of the other "famous" mandolin players.

I also never knew this concert was filmed. So finding this was a pleasant serendipity:

One of my faves. Of course it can't be called BG because they had a drummer....

When we saw Del and Dawg at the Ryman this past June, they were selling this CD at the Ryman gift shop. I could not resist the need to purchase it.

I've been an Emmy Lou Harris follower ever since i first heard her. She just seems to have an ear for beautiful melodies & that gets me every time regardless of 'who'.

Here's one of my personal favourites - Emmy Lou with Chris Hillman & Herb Pederson :-

    Ivan
    Weber F-5 'Fern'.
    Lebeda F-5 "Special".
    Stelling Bellflower BANJO
    Tokai - 'Tele-alike'.
    Ellis DeLuxe "A" style.

    Thanks for that!

Haven't seen or heard this one before today.., it's got a little bit of everything I like about ELH, even a little dance w/ Bill Monroe!
And oh yeah, probably my new favorite version of "Get Up John".

Well done and good find my friend.
Despite the high cost of living, it still remains popular...

Emmy Hair Lewis and Wake Frankfield would say

One of the best ever, especially enjoyed her with the Nash Ramblers and especially with Gram Parsons.
