I buy a few picks every time I visit a music store. I used a Clayton 1.26 for a long time. Then a blue chip 55 for about 5 years. Last summer George Gruhn recommended a Gilchrist pick - thick white triangle. Now I may go back to the blue chip.
I have a few picks that I wrapped with white medical tape around the grip area - until it's about 1/8 - 1/16 thick. It's more ergonomical, easier on the joints.
Also tried the drilled holes for better grip. I like that sometimes.

Picked up 3 Dunlop Primetone 1.5 triangles today. So far....so good. Really feels better and I have better control.

I tried for years to like the large triangles, but keep coming back to the teardrop size. I have smaller hands and get easier pick motion --at least that is what I am telling myself this week.

    Back to Proplecs to fwiw.

I've got somewhat big hands and fat fingers and I just cannot get comfortable with a small or normal sized pick - I really like the triangles. I've tried several and the one I am just loving right now is a purple Tortex that I reshape the point and give it a right handed speed bevel and then polish it. Oh and some scratches in the center for grip.

    Compared to a point I didn't reshape
